# How to read a fertility clinic listing

Each listing shows the services a clinic reported to the CDC, its cycle count, its live-birth rates by age band, its reported accreditation and its contact facts. A source note names where the facts came from.

Each listing on this site shows the facts a clinic reported to the CDC National ART Surveillance System. The facts are in a few groups. Read each group with the same care.

## Services

The services field lists what the clinic reported to the CDC. The options are IVF, donor egg services, donated embryo services, egg freezing, embryo freezing and gestational carrier services. A clinic may offer more than it reported. An empty field means unknown, not none. If a service you need is not shown, call the clinic to ask.

## Cycle count

The cycle count is the total assisted reproductive technology cycles the clinic reported for one year. The source note on each listing names the year. A higher number means the clinic ran more cycles. It does not mean better results.

## Live-birth rates

The live-birth rates show four figures: under 35, age 35 to 37, age 38 to 40 and over 40. The figures come from the CDC register. They count intended egg retrievals that ended in a live-birth delivery, for patients who used their own eggs. The rates are whole-clinic figures for one year. They do not show your own chance of success. Ask your doctor what the figures mean for you.

## Medical director

The medical director is the name the clinic reported to the CDC. This person may not be the doctor who treats you. Ask the clinic who will care for you.

## Accreditation and membership

This field can show two marks: SART membership and verified lab accreditation. SART is the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology. A mark appears only when the clinic reported it to the CDC. This site does not audit these marks. Ask the clinic for details.

## Contact facts

The contact facts give the clinic's address, phone number and website, when the source has them. The address is the location the clinic reported to the CDC. A clinic may have more than one location. Check the phone number and website before you visit.

## Costs and other clinic details

Cost, insurance, financing and telehealth fields are empty unless the clinic adds them. A clinic can add them when it claims its listing. Those facts come from the clinic itself, not from the CDC. Ask for a written quote before you budget.

## Source note

The source note tells you where the facts came from and when we read them. Most notes say "CDC NASS 2022 Final ART Services and Profiles and Success Rates datasets", with a retrieval date.

## Before you decide

A listing is a record, not a recommendation. It is not medical advice. Every listing can be out of date. Confirm services, costs and opening times with the clinic before you decide. Talk to a doctor or other qualified clinician before you choose a treatment. To report a mistake on a listing, write to hello@fertilityclinics.fyi.

## Questions

### Where does the information on each listing come from?

From the CDC National ART Surveillance System, the public register of US clinics that report assisted reproductive technology cycles. The source note on each listing names the data year.

### A clinic on this site has no cost information. Why?

The CDC data this site reads has no prices. Cost fields stay empty until a clinic claims its listing and adds its own figures. Empty means unknown.

> **Not medical advice.** This site is a directory of fertility clinics. It is not medical advice, and a listing is not an endorsement of any clinic. Success rates are whole-clinic figures reported to the CDC; they do not show any one patient's chance of success. Talk to a doctor or other qualified clinician before you choose a treatment. Listings can be out of date: confirm services, costs and opening times with the clinic. To report a mistake, write to hello@fertilityclinics.fyi.
